  • Caterpillar colour – Starts light green after which it changes to brown with a white stripe down the side of its body.

  • Food for the caterpillar – Honeysuckle.
  • Food for the butterfly – Bramble blossom, mud, wet grasses, animal droppings, honeysuckle.
Special features

The White Admiral can live up to 10 months, subject to surviving the British winter weather. This butterfly habitats where there is an abundance of nectar sources, especially bramble.
